Avocation / General:
I was born and raised in Indiana, and attended the University of Cincinnati as a Jazz/Studio Music major. I toured with several bands, performing dance music and in show bands throughout the eastern half of the U.S. Eventually I re-located in the Cincinnati area, and attended the University of Cincinnati again, this time as a Nuclear Medicine Technology major. During that time, I played in many area churches' productions, in local dance bands, big bands, brass ensembles and symphony orchestras and as a wedding soloist. There were performances in several community bands in Cincinnati, and also the Citizen's Band of Lafayette Indiana. I later began performing in a latin dance band, playing congas, bongos, timbales as well as trumpet, flugelhorn and trombone. Eventually I joined a band backing up a Cincinnati based salsa singer/songwriter from New York/Puerto Rico, before moving to Maine. Since locating in Maine. I have played in the Auburn Community Band, and a Steely Dan Tribute and as well as the Chandler Military Band. Since 1992, I have worked as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, and have specialized as a Nuclear Cardiology Technologist, an area in which I hold an advanced certification. I have some samples of playing on my Trumpet City website, and on the Deely Stan website.
